ORDER OF MERIT RANKING TOUR
(Rules & Regulations)

Eligibility
The Order of Merit Ranking Tour is open to all youth
bowlers aged 21 and below (born in 1992 or after). Current National Squad and
National Development Squad Players are subject to handicap rules (See Handicap
rules)

Playing
Rules
This tour will be played in accordance with the WTBA
Playing Rules & Regulations.

Averages
Averages
are based on official averages of SBF and averages of past tour participation
whichever is higher.

Handicap
System
Handicap
will be given to bowlers based on official averages of SBF and averages of past
tour participation whichever is higher.
Handicap
System:
Boys: (180
– Average) x 60% up to a maximum of 15 pins
Girls: (180
– Average) x 60% up to a maximum of 20 pins
Juniors
(Aged 11-12): (180 –
Average) x 60% up to a maximum of 25 pins
Juniors
(Aged 10 & below): (180
– Average) x 60% up to a maximum of 35 pins
No
handicap will be given to all current and former National Squad and National
Development Squad members.

Entry Fees
All entries must be submitted with relevant fees. No
refund will be allowed. Entry fees per event are as follows

8 Registration of Bowling Balls
It
is the bowlers’ responsibility to ensure that all bowling balls used during the
Tournament are verified for correctness of weight and other specifications. If
in doubt, the ball may be verified by the Tournament Technical Committee. The
Tournament Technical Committee reserves the right to recall any ball(s) for
inspection at any time.
9 Oiling Pattern
Oiling pattern shall be based on respective
bowling centers’ in-house oiling.
10 Tie-Breaker
In
the event of a tie in the total pin falls, the bowler with the highest high
game (scratch) shall win the tie breaker. If the highest high game is similar,
the next high game will be in effect. This continues till the tie is broken.
11 Dress Code
It
shall be the duty of each bowler to dress properly. Presentable round neck
t-shirts and long pants (male bowlers) are allowed during each League
match. Female bowlers are allowed skirts, shorts or dress shorts. Jeans
material pants and slacks are NOT allowed.
12 Grand Championship
Bowlers must participate in at least 3
out of the 4 sessions to qualify for the Grand Final.
A
total of 36 Bowlers will participate in this event, based on the ranking points
from all 4 sessions.

20 bowlers from the open pool (all bowlers)
Top
8 bowlers from the Full ABA members pool (Bowlers training in ABA ‘A’ system
/ Elite / Agape COE)
Top
8 bowlers from the Full ABA members JUNIOR pool (Junior bowlers training in ABA
‘A’ system / Elite / Agape COE)
Should
there be a tie in the accumulated ranking points, the bowler with the highest
finished position during the last individual event legs will be declared the
winner. Finalists shall bowl 8 games, total pinfalls inclusive of handicaps to
decide the winners.
The
top three bowlers after the completion of the 8 games will enter a Step Ladder
Finals to determine the top three positions.
In
Match 1, the 3rd and 2nd bowlers compete over 1 game with
the winner proceeding to match 2.
In
Match 2, the winner of match 1 will compete with the top ranked qualifier over
one game. The winner of the game will be declared the Grand Finals Champion.
In
the event of a tie during the step ladder finals, a 9th and 10th
frame roll of will determine the winner.
The
fee for this event will be $80/- per bowler.
12 Matters
Not Provided For
The
Tournament Manager, whose decision shall be governed by WTBA General Rules
& Regulations, shall decide any matter arising, which is not covered in
these Rules & regulations. Such a decision shall be final.
